In Latvia, there are no graphic design basics teaching materials — the goal is to teach children the elements and basic principles of graphic design by creating an informative and practical exercise book. The book includes 19 exercises: the elements of graphic design — point, line, shape, color, typeface, area, and texture; the basic principles of graphic design — contrast, balance, accent, proportion, hierarchy, repetition, rhythm, movement, variety, and unity.
