Development of a functional, sustainable, and inclusive wayfinding design system proposal for the main building of the Art Academy of Latvia, intended for implementation in other academy buildings to prevent misunderstandings in the wayfinding process.
Within the scope of the master’s thesis, extensive research and signage testing in the specific environment over seven months led to the development of a wayfinding design system proposal, which simultaneously addresses placemaking aspects by narrating the stories of the place and promoting active engagement of environment users in story creation.
