GenZ, or Generation Z, was born in the age of digital technology. Technology has significantly influenced this generation's understanding of the surrounding physical environment. Generation Z has a deeper link to display technologies than other generations, especially when it comes to using them for escapism*. The installation depicts the generation's inability to fully integrate into the physical environment and its quest to escape to a virtual environment, creating two separate lives in both. The author's first memories of display technologies and their lasting impact on the perception of the physical world are also depicted.
