Materials, combinations, research and process…

The Materials Studio of the Latvian Art Academy includes five functions – a material library, a material bank for reuse, a workshop, a light laboratory and a showroom. It is a place where students can experiment with samples of materials and test combinations on a magnetic wall, study them in different lighting, attend lectures, and take reusable materials for scale models to then display in the showroom.
