How can it be more affordable to renovate than to demolish? My thesis is about the process and changing approaches/beliefs. About abandoned industrial heritage that has potential in the future. As an interior designer I plan and document the revitalisation of a neglected factory. I use an implementation strategy that is based on the needs of the people in the near future rather than expensive grand projects. I place social functions in an abandoned factory, occupying only a part of the building, anticipating future development.
