Environmentally friendly and low-cost interior renovation scenario for the FreeRiga building at Viskaļu street 36A. The design task included the requirement to create common areas, respecting the structures already established over time and using vacant spaces, leftover materials and furniture. How can the space be effectively used by the different occupants of the building and how can it meet the changing needs of a creative community? The choices made were successively evaluated with various sustainability tools - LCA, ISO 20887, comparing the proportions of the selected new, reused and recycled materials, etc.
